Open Arms Adoption Network provides services necessary to bring waiting babies and toddlers and adoptive families together through international adoption. In partnership with Spence Chapin, Open Arms provides adoption services to aide families in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey to adopt from China, South Korea, Bulgaria, Congo and Colombia. Open Arms also provides counseling throughout the adoption process and for the years to come.
Open Arms' services to families adopting internationally include:
- Pre-adoption counseling and educational and mentorship opportunities
- Guidance through and completion of the homestudy process
- Dossier preparation support (including support with immigration and travel)
- Assistance with securing legal services to finalize adoption
- Post-placement supervision, as required by your state of residence and country of child's origin
- A lifetime of invitations to casual and educational get-togethers for the life of your adoption...forever!
Open Arms is very pleased to work on your behalf with Spence Chapin, as they have been facilitating adoptions for 100 years. They are a nonprofit, nonsectarian agency that has placed almost 18,000 children in adoptive homes since 1908. As the placing agency, Spence Chapin provides the submission of the dossier to the foreign country, matching processes, travel assistance, and immigration and adoption related paperwork. Each country has its own process, fees, range of ages of children available for adoption, and requirements for adoptive families.
